The future of Ukraine is in NATO!

Quick Summary:

“Ukraine’s future is in NATO!” echoed at Norfolk’s NATO Parade of Nations, where Ukraine debuted as an ally. The Tidewater Ukrainian School proudly supported the historic participation, highlighting Ukraine’s path towards NATO membership and its steadfast defense against tyranny.

“The future of Ukraine is in NATO!” – this is a part of the introduction of the Ukrainian delegation during the NATO Parade of Nations in Norfolk organized to celebrate NATO’s 75th anniversary. This year marks the first time when a non-member nation without official representation in NATO ACT in Norfolk took part in the Parade. Ukraine was invited as an ally nation, but it will become NATO’s 33rd member and will march side-by-side with its friends and allies in the near future!

The Tidewater Ukrainian School (TUS) was honored to support the Ukrainian delegation and is thankful for the TUS Director Oleksandra Arkhangelska, teachers Nataliia Sytnyk and Nazar Syvak and students who joined the parade. Special shout out to our student Grant Montonye for leading the group with the Ukrainian flag. We also appreciate TUCommunity member Valentyna Sonmezler who joined the delegation as well as other TUCommunity Members including the refugees who had to flee Ukraine as the war started to escape russian attacks and were able to join us at the parade.

We want to thank the Norfolk NATO Festival organizers who invited Ukraine to join the parade and made it clear that Ukraine’s future is in NATO. It is an important signal to the Ukrainian nation that continues to fight for its country and stands as a shield for the West against tyranny in the face of russia.
